Thirft Store Finds II: Adventureland Fall 1966

So far, this is one of my favorite finds. I found this gem while looking through some old magazine bins at a thrift store. This issue of Vacationland is from fall 1966. I really wish Disneyland would still publish these sort of magazines. I know Disney has the A.P. magazine (I don't know if they still publish it though) but that magazine is not as great as Vacationland.

For your viewing pleasure, here are some of my favorite pages from this issue. I did scan the entire magazine and you can view them on my Flickr page. Enjoy!

Mark Twain. One of my favorite Disneyland attractions and this picture is perfect.
Smile kid, you're going to Disneyland!

Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. One of the best attractions ever created.

This color spread is amazing.

This is an interesting article about the shops that use to be at Disneyland.

I'm not a huge fan of Knott's Berry Farm (I only really enjoy the mine ride, log ride, and their fried chicken) but I sure do love this vintage ad for this classic Southern California theme park.
